Mr. Explosive Racing all started with Mark Sanders back in 1989 with a stock Bronco mud racing. The racing was in his blood and it was getting worse and the Bronco was getting better parts and bigger tires. Finally the Bronco was retired and a purpose built race car was built and topped with a 1923 C-cab body the first car had a nitrous motor in it and was a serious contender. As years past Mark built many cars for this special class of racing and eventually moved up to a Blown Alcohol motor. Mark was the man to beat on the North West Mud Racing circuit. But as the bug was getting worse and the entire family was getting involved, a Top Alcohol sand dragster was put together and in its first competition race the car qualified #2 and in true Mr. Explosive Racing fashion was the talk of the race track. after a few years of running both of the cars the Mud Racing operation was sold and that was the last day of just running methanol, the nitro barrel was delivered and we have been experimenting with nitro ever since. Today we play with 85 to 100% NITRO in both the nostalgia Funny Car and the Top Fuel Sand Dragster.
